What we do

The Capability Company was set up to 'support positive change' by helping organisations to operate more effectively, bringing people together to exchange knowledge and ideas, and facilitating the development of new initiatives. The Capability Company aims to work in a way which brings multiple benefits to everyone involved.

For the Capability Company:

• training must be participatory, very enjoyable, and highly effective, so that it is well worth while busy people taking time out to upskill.
• conferences and seminars must be interactive and vibrant, with contributions not only from key-note 'celebrities', but just as importantly, people who know their stuff because they are practitioners or users. The Capability Company believes in finding ways to facilitate the exchange of information between all those involved in a conference or event - because everyone has information to share.
• chairing must be focused, purposeful and agreed - and can often be delivered with a lighter touch. Everyone has something to contribute, therefore facilitation needs to create an environment in which everyone feels enabled to have their say.

The Capability Company also works to help organisations and partnerships move forward into the future; and can act as a catalyst and organisers for creating new initiatives, working with groups of people and drawing on the skills and knowledge of stake holders. Recent examples of creating new organisations include the success of Escaping Victimhood and Circles UK.
