What we do: Local Leadership Training

We were originally commissioned to design a 3-day course to enable people in receipt of Direct Payments to act as Choice Champions by mentoring others facing new decisions.

Participants have been primarily people with learning and physical disabilities as well as people with long-term physical and mental health problems.

Subsequently, an additional 2 days of leadership training was developed, and more recently we have been running a whole course for ‘Local Leaders’ to enable local people, particularly those with disabilities, to influence local decision making and get their voices heard.  

A train the trainers day has now been added to this package to enable participants to cascade the training to their friends, colleagues and peers.
